Ebony Puts Cosby Controversy Front and Center
So how do you feel about Ebony’s Black Family Issues cover with the Huxtables?

A controversial cover for the November issue is already creating a few buzz- a smiling Huxtable Family portrait with an overlay of smashed glass.
So many Ebony readers were shocked to see the cover story compared to the fictional family in “The Cosby Show” – syndicated episodes of which have been pulled off networks. While Hollywood has distance itself from the comedian, many in the Black community continue to support him.
To date, more than 50 woman have come forward alleging that the TV icon sexually assaulted them, according to an Essence article.
It’s a question all fans of the Cosby Show are struggling with. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who played Cosby’s son “Theo” on the show, recently said the legacy of the show was “tarnished”. Ebony’s twitter account posted this meme asking followers what their reactions were after seeing the cover. Is it right that “The Cosby Show” be held accountable for Bill Cosby’s alleged indiscretions or should the sitcom still hold a revered place in the black America?

“He’s an actor we fell in love with the character and I don’t think it’s fair to the other cast members”, another woman commented.
