Ed Schultz Cancelled By MSNBC
Todd is a major player for NBC News in an election cycle; since he took over as host in September, MTP logged its best Q2 total viewer haul in two years (2.6 million) and best news demo performance (808,000) in three.

Brian Williams, who was banished to MSNBC following his suspension and removal from “NBC Nightly News“, may return to the troubled network in the 3:00-5:00 PM slot to anchor a news program.
But the decision was greeted with disappointment and some anger by Schultz’s diehard fans.
The only programs that appeared safe from disruption were Morning Joe, Hardball, and The Rachel Maddow Show.
We live in a time when much of the corporate media regards politics as a baseball game or a soap opera.
Sanders continued: “He has talked about income and wealth inequality, high unemployment, low wages, our disastrous trade policies and racism in America. We need more people who talk about the real issues facing our country, not fewer”, Sanders said.
Additionally, three MSNBC shows, “The Cycle“, “Now with Alex Wagner” and “The Ed Show” are expected to be canceled, Mediaite reports, and our sources confirm.
Network officials have not formally announced all the dramatic changes that promise to reshape the media home of Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and others who regularly preach the liberal gospel in support of Barack Obama and his political apostles.
News of the program was reported previously by Mediaite and Politico. Once they are made, maybe Lack will tackle the primetime lineup, which continues to lose ground to Fox News and CNN.
MSNBC is about to face one of the biggest shake ups in the network’s history.

Those were pretty good talking points for a guy who inherited a division trailing ABC in the mornings, trailing CBS on Sunday and operating under a cloud in the evening with a suspended anchor under internal investigation for his imaginative renderings of his role in at least one major news event.
