Eddie Jones backs jeered Ford despite kicking nightmare
England maintained their unbeaten record under head coach Eddie Jones as they defeated Wales 27-13 at Twickenham.

Jones, who coached Australia to the 2003 World Cup final, bullishly tipped England to beat his home country in next month’s three-Test showdown Down Under.
“It’s quite wonderful and just shows the negative reaction in English rugby”.
“We haven’t said anything to Dan because he has got to process that the tour could already be over for him and that’s incredibly disappointing”.
Asked how he thought Wales would do against back-to-back World Cup holders New Zealand, Jones barked: “Do you want my honest answer?”
Despite the fly-half coming in for some serious criticism over his performance against Wales at the weekend, Eddie Jones has praised wayward kicker George Ford.
He said sarcastically: “May be I should chat to the crowd as well about what they think and who I should pick!”
“We scored five tries to one so the fly-half must have been doing something right”.
“We’ve just beaten Wales by five tries to one and we’re talking about a guy that missed a few goals”, he said.
The England head coach also highlighted the fact that Wales were close to full-strength whereas England were missing a whole host of players, yet still managed to come away with a convincing victory.
“Lydiate, who led Wales against England at Twickenham this afternoon, has suffered a shoulder injury, which he will fail to recover from in time for the three-Test series”.
“I have seen Tiger Woods miss putts, I have seen Michael Jordan miss jump shots, everyone has a bad day and he had a bad day kicking but I thought the rest of his play was brilliant”.
“I was very impressed with him”. We need to get some perspective on where we’re going in the game here’.
The “how’s your mother” try – from Jack Clifford in the 47th minute – was the pivotal score on which the game turned in that it moved England into clear water at 22-13.
The Six Nations champions should know, England expects.

Anthony Watson touched down for his 12th try in 21 England matches, Jonathan Joseph looked unsafe in attack at outside centre and Ollie Devoto finally made his Red Rose debut, replacing Ford with less than five minutes to go.
