Eddie Montgomery’s Son Dies in Kentucky
The 51-year-old, who is part of the country music duo Montgomery Gentry, said in a statement, “My son Hunter went to heaven today”. Montgomery Gentry released their album Folks Like Us this past June. The couple split in late 2010, shortly after Eddie discovered he had prostate cancer, which he beat.

Hunter Montgomery was one of Eddie Montgomery’s three children, along with Kevin, Brooke and Candace, with his ex-wife, Tracy.
Nancy Nunan, Hunter’s mother and Eddie’s ex-wife, had posted to Facebook from the hospital while Hunter was still fighting for his life. Hunter had proposed to his girlfriend during a Montgomery concert. He was declared cancer free one year later. Many of you knew Sharon because she ran the Underground Fanclub for the last few years. Meanwhile, fans have shared their condolences on social media via the Montgomery Gentry twitter account, CNN reported. Eddie also filed for personal bankruptcy in 2014 after his divorce and his restaurant went out of business. Eddie has been singing with fellow Kentucky singer Troy Gentry since 1999.
