Eden Hazard relishing playing under Chelsea boss Antonio Conte

The Brazil global struggled to have a telling impact against Jurgen Klopp’s side as the Reds dominated the first half at Stamford Bridge. We all know Cesc as a fantastic player.

“The season is not over, we have to play football – we know we can play football and we are convinced about our quality”. First half we didn’t have the duels, we didn’t have the second ball, everything was for them.

Liverpool was dealt a substantial blow before the match, as Roberto Firmino – its star of the season so far – was ruled out with a groin injury.

Liverpool have never won the Premier League but have 18 First division titles to their name, last winning a league medal in the 1989-90 season.

The Blues remained disorganized, slow to react and were second to every ball – so unlike the teams former Juventus and Italy coach Conte has molded over the years.

However, the England midfielder coolly shifted the ball onto his right foot and proceeded to curl an exquisite strike past Courtois’ outstretched arm and into the top corner.

Liverpool were sharper from the start than Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who seemed content to sit deep and invite pressure from the visitors, who happily set up camp in the hosts’ half in the opening stages. Oscar and Nemanja Matic struggled to get close to Diego Costa and with Eden Hazard and Willian rarely drifting inside, the lone striker lacked service.

With that, Chelsea’s confidence began to grow. But by then, Chelsea was desperately launching balls into Liverpool’s penalty area in search of an equalizer and failed to truly test Simon Mignolet. Chelsea dropped to third and Liverpool rose to fourth. I always had a good feeling about moving to Liverpool and things have gone well so far.

“We knew it would be hard as Chelsea are a good side but I thought we defended well and deserved the three points”.

Despite Conte revealing he is keen to hold on to the World Cup victor, with midfield duo Kante and Matic impressing in the deep-lying midfield roles in the boss’s new-look 4-2-4 formation, Fabregas may be tempted to depart Stamford Bridge this January in search of regular first team action.
