Edmonton Rallies To Beat RedBlacks
The Algonquin Loggersports Team traditionally slices a “wood cookie” off a log in the west endzone at Ottawa’s TD Place to mark a Redblacks touchdown.

Mike Reilly had an outstanding game, completing 21 of 35 passes for 269 yards and a pair of majors along with 10 carries for 66 yards.
On Sunday, the Canadian Football league season wraps up with the Grey Cup, the championship game of the Canadian Football League.
The league did not immediately respond to a query on who raised the concern.
This is Edmonton’s 14th Grey Cup win, and it’s first since 2005.
The game was a disappointment for Redblacks fans who thought their team might be crowned champions at the end of their second season.
The 40-year-old Burris was 22 of 29 for 220 yards.
The Eskimos had a chance to retake the lead on the final play of the quarter but Sean Whyte’s 35-yard field goal effort clanged off the upright, resulting in a dead ball and no points. “I’m passing down knowledge to the guys from my experience”.
The six-point lead after the touchdown was enough for Edmonton in what had been an offensively challenging second half for both teams. Quarterback Mike Reilly’s three-yard pass to Akeem Shavers for the two-point convert erased a 20-18 advantage. “He tries to find little keys and he works his defence off of your tendencies and tries to find ways to take away your strengths and make you work towards your weaknesses”. Despite having the ball for 10 minutes in the third quarter, Edmonton was outscored 3-1 as Ottawa took a 19-18 advantage into the fourth.
Ottawa regained the lead in the third on Chris Milo’s 33-yard field goal. They won their final 10 games, all after Reilly returned as the starter after injuring a knee in the season-opening loss to Toronto.
Ottawa got to the quarterback a league-high 62 times this season and allowed a CFL-low 70.8 yards rushing per game. “We’re going to beat them up on all aspects of the game”. Whyte booted a convert, single and field goal while Grant Shaw added another single.

Adarius Bowman and Shavers scored Edmonton’s touchdowns. However, Reilly then produced a remarkable eight-play, 88-yard touchdown drive, capped off with a two-yard pass to Shavers. “If they scored again I might have but it was one of those deals we’ve been in that situation before”.
