Egypt FM calls for 2-state solution on Israel visit
Mr. Shoukry’s visit to Israel is the first by an Egyptian official in nine years, and is an example of strengthened ties between the two countries. “Such a monumental achievement will have a far reaching and dramatic and positive impact on the overall conditions in the Middle East region”, he told Netanyahu.

Daily News Egypt states that the meeting was born out of Mr. Sisi’s commitment to achieving peace in the Middle East.
Shoukry, who arrived here to discuss an Egyptian initiative to break the deadlock, said his trip was a “continuation of Egypt’s longstanding sense of responsibility” towards peace for itself and all the people of the region.
Shoukry’s visit comes a week after he met with Palestinian leadership in the West Bank city of Ramallah, and almost two months after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi made a public appeal to Israelis on the peace process.
He also called on Palestinians to engage in direct negotiations, as he has repeatedly done in the past.
The day after the fatal stabbing, a suspected Palestinian gunman shot at Israelis driving on a West Bank road south of Hebron. He said Shoukry “answered in the affirmative”.
Zionist Union leaders Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni firmly denied a report in a Saudi news site Monday that they met with Shoukry during his visit to Jerusalem and he pressed them to enter Netanyahu’s government.
“There’s a commonality between Israel and Kenya in that they share the same concerns about terrorism and border security that we do, but on a much bigger scale”, Magal Chief Executive Saar Koursh said in an interview at Nairobi’s Villa Rose Kempinski Hotel.
Last week Netanyahu authorized hundreds of new homes for Israelis in the West Bank and east Jerusalem as a response to Palestinian violence.
Following Al-Sisi ” s declarations in May, Netanyahu expressed a willingness to participate in peace talks with the Palestinians and any other Arab country that can take part in the negotiations.
In 1979, Egypt was the first Arab state to sign a peace treaty with Israel after years of conflict.
Israel’s Justice Ministry did not disclose what the suspicions against Netanyahu were.
After President Mubarak’s was deposed in the 2011 Egyptian revolution, protesters stormed Israel’s embassy in that September. The rest will go toward educational programming, a youth center and other community initiatives, The Times of Israel reported.
Sisi called on both Palestinians and Israelis previously to seize the opportunity and make historical peace, giving Israel the tantalizing prospect of deeper ties. Instead, Netanyahu opted for the inclusion of Yisrael Beiteinu in the governing coalition and the appointment of Avigdor Lieberman as defense minister.

And in another allegation, Arnaud Mimran, a French man convicted of a carbon tax fraud last week, said he gave Mr Netanyahu large sums for an election campaigns, an exchange which would violate Israel’s campaign finance laws. The Arab League has said the terms can not be changed.
