Thousands of holidaymakers remain in the resort following the decision to cut air links and heighten security measures following the Russian Metrojet crash on October 32 that killed 224 people on board.
Andrew Weir, a British tourist who flew home on Tuesday after a four-day delay, said his flight was delayed because he and around 20 other passengers were checked a fourth time in front of United Kingdom aviation officials.
Sisi, who has dismissed the claim as “propaganda”, said on his surprise visit to Sharm el-Sheikh that only the official probe could determine the cause. “Losing 40 percent of these figures would only lead to the loss of around 50 percent of the income in Sharm al-Sheikh and South Sinai”. “We halted the flights to Egypt without knowing the definitive version, we did it preventively, out of caution”, Ivanov said. “The information we have heard about has not been shared with Egyptian security agencies in detail”. “The evil people are seeking to disrupt Egypt’s successes”.
Officials had hoped for modest growth this year but the Sinai plane crash, coming at the start of the peak Red Sea winter holiday season, is likely to reverse that.
“For the success of the Moscow-backed initiative of settlement in Syria, Egypt’s participation is vital”, he said.
SHARM AL-SHEIKH, EgyptBritain’ swift suspension of flights after the Russian plane crash in Sinai has revived old grievances in Egypt, where many accuse the former colonial ruler of acting out of malice and suspect a dark plot against their country.
At Sharm el-Sheikh airport, Sisi promised the government would support the tourism industry.
Issam, part Egyptian, part Danish tourist: “By stop flying to Egypt, you give Egypt away to the bad side”.
A U.S. government source said on Monday that neither Russian Federation nor Egypt has accepted an offer from the Federal Bureau of Investigation to assist them in investigating the crash.
President Sisi said authorities have carried out regular checks on all airports over the past few months, and that other countries had been involved in the inspections.

Sisi added that Egypt would be transparent with the results of investigations, into the cause of the airliner crash, believed to have been brought down by islamic state militants, ISIS.
