Eiffel Tower reopens to visitors, lit in blue, white and red
While Jean is from Paris, he now resides in London.

But the Eiffel Tower reopened at 4:20 p.m. local time, according to its website.
One such image, created by French graphic designer Jean Jullien, has become a symbol of unity following the attacks and has been shared by thousands worldwide.
Other images which captured the feeling of solidarity with France, were those of historical landmarks around the world, lit-up in the colours of the French flag.
The Eiffel Tower is not the first monument to glow blue, white, and red, in honour of the attacks. I just connected both of them.
We can but hope that Jean can stick to satirical and fun art and illustrations – he never has to produce another work like Peace for Paris or Je Suis Charlie again.
The Eiffel Tower was a logical choice, and Jullien’s mind quickly jumped to the peace sign, combining the two. Thousands of Facebook users made it their profile photo.
His original tweet has been retweeted at least 50,000 times and has over 35,000 likes. But in an interview with Wired, Jullien said he intended his design to be “an image for everyone”. I didn’t do it to benefit from it in any way.
“I have a lot of anxiety about how the world will react to the situation because in these moments it’s easy to act out of fear and anger, which often doesn’t lead to the best decision- and policymaking”, Hegdahl said.
Celebrities have also joined in on sharing the iconic image.
One artist’s heartfelt tribute to the innocent victims was at the center of much social media activity the night of the attacks. “Six people close to him were reportedly taken into custody on Saturday morning”. It’s doesn’t feel right. That was the first thing that sprung to my mind, just we need a bit of peace.
“We mourn those lost to the horrific attacks in Paris”, Euro Disney S.A.S. president Tom Wolber said in a statement on the theme park’s website. “Thank you for your understanding”. A few of the wounded are in critical condition.

ANTALYA, Turkey (AP) – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says that the response to the Paris attacks should be “robust, but always within the rule of law”.
