The iconic and hugely influential Grand Theft Auto trilogy that began with Grand Theft Auto III leads the list. We got our first look at the feature in action thanks to leaked footage of Dark Cloud on PS4. The highly anticipated “No Man’s Sky” could also be featured prominently. Dave Raynard (game director from Sony’s London Studio) said his goal when building a VR game is “to transport the player to this other place and make that believable”.
The VR title is a new game that bridges the story gap between the original Psychonauts and the forthcoming sequel, Psychonauts 2. However, along with a 4K graphic support, the PS5 could deliver and achieve the highest level of performance.
The popularity of the PlayStation 4 is bolstering Sony’s long-term confidence for its flagship games console, after sales topped 30 million units last month.
PS4 owners can now download and play some classic PS2 titles though they’ll have to buy them again. According to part of the video’s description, it mentions that PS2-formatted discs will not be compatible with the PS4. PS2 game discs won’t be playable on the PS4, which was pretty much a given from the start.
Sony has wrapped up its PlayStation Experience keynote where it announced several new games, showcased trailers for upcoming titles, and revealed more from its VR offerings. None of the games include a Platinum Trophy. Sony said PS4-good titles will accompany overhauls. The sad thing is that Sony used to be great at things like this, after all the PS2 supported PSone games back in the day.
GTA: San Andreas ($14.99) – It is the best selling video game of 2004 and remains the best selling PlayStation 2 game of all time.
Since there’s nothing unusual about Dark Cloud, in terms of technology or licensing, the natural assumption is that this small print will follow for all other PlayStation 2 games.
Even though the announcement wasn’t that far off, Gearburn wrote about backwards compatibility on the PS4 past year.
The Wii U has a library of downloadable retro games and Wii titles on the Virtual Console and eShop.
A preview video shown to the audience at the games event blew people away with its vivid colours and 60 frames per second visuals amid a plethora of on-the-rails shooting. Also, we look forward to see more of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Eurogamer reports that it seems that the PlayStation 4 PS2 emulator doesn’t work with existing PS2 disks or PS2 game downloads purchased on the PS3. Have you played any of them?
