Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis says this violent act was premeditated.

According to WBAL, police said three people, one armed with a shotgun and the other two with handguns, are responsible for the shooting.

Once notified at 1:08 p.m. Friday about the bank robbery, authorities said they immediately cut off access to roads that were likely escape routes. Police say Stratton and his getaway driver, now identified as 33-year-old Oddis Colvin, tried to get around the blockade, almost running over police.

Wachter said one of the police officers was wearing a body camera, but the police video was not reviewed yet.

Further details were not immediately available on the shooting or identities of the shooters.

One man was fatally shot and another suspect detained Friday by police in the US city of Baltimore, Maryland, local media reported.

Stratton was also shot, and suffered non-life threatening injuries. He said one assailant emerged “from a dark alley” and the two others came down the street.

Authorities say police shot and killed a man Friday while investigating a bank robbery in suburban Baltimore and that a second man was injured. The adults ranged in age from 26 to 39.

Baltimore police cordoned off more than three blocks of the city late on Saturday night in order to keep people away from the scene.

“This was an intended shooting at victims”.
