El Chapo’s paisley shirts are all the rage now
It’s February 2014 and Joaquin Guzman is arrested and sent to another maximum security prison in Mexico.

“That’s so moving that you say you’ll take care of me – no one has ever told me they would care for me, thank you!”
Mexican authorities signaled Monday that extraditing Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to the United States could take more than a year, while the slippery drug kingpin waits in the prison from which he previously escaped.
The Univision series will begin airing in the fall of 2016 with a cast that has yet to be decided, the network said in a statement.
“I can’t talk now”, Rose said a couple of times, though he did reveal he has a “whole range of people” he’d like to interview, and El Chapo is one of them.
Carlos Barragan y Salvatierra, a professor of law at Mexico’s National University, said that there would be little ground to prosecute Penn or Del Castillo, unless money or gifts were known to change hand in the meeting.
Meanwhile, more than a dozen Mexican police officers were guarding the exit of the mile-long tunnel that Guzman used to escape from the slammer.
On its website and Facebook page, men’s clothing retailer Barabas boasts photos of “El Chapo” in shirts identical to ones it sells, including the striped design he wore in a now-famous photo with Sean Penn, part of the actor’s recent Rolling Stone article.
“I think it’s safe to assume that they understand that the world is watching how this case moves forward and that this individual needs to stay behind bars”, said US State Department spokesman John Kirby.
“I supply more heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana than anybody else in the world”.
The Hollywood star, however does not appear to have been a big draw for Guzman, who in one message asked del Castillo: “What’s that actor’s name?”
“I hadn’t seen him, and I was interested in what happened”, Rose said.
Penn makes it clear in his Rolling Stone interview that del Castillo was the key instigator of the meeting.
“When I first saw it, I was a little horrified”, the Fox Business News anchor told TheWrap Tuesday in a wide-ranging interview ahead of her moderator gig at Thursday night’s GOP debate.
When marines raided his Los Mochis hideout, Guzman fled through a tunnel during a gunfight between troops and his henchmen, but he was caught later after attempting a getaway in a stolen auto.
For global audiences, especially in the United States, Guzman’s interview with Penn turned the story of his capture into yet another celebrity scandal.
