It took fix crews three days to restore power to all in that case.

It wasn’t known exactly when all power would be restored, but the utility said some customers will continue to be without electricity into Friday, the Times report said.
Cox said the outage appeared to be similar to one two weeks ago that affected about 6,300 homes and businesses in the downtown area.
The outage area Thursday was roughly bounded by Spring Avenue to Shoreline Drive and Santa Fe Avenue to Alamitos Avenue, according to acting Long Beach Public Information Officer Kerry Gerot. During the transition, customers could be without power for up to 45 minutes, according to the release. An underground vault exploded Thursday night around 4:15 p.m., which is the second time in less than a month a vault has caught fire and caused a widespread outage.
The blow was captured by cellphone video, which showed the vault apparently blew up, sending flames and smoke into the air.
About 70 Southern California Edison customers in Downtown Long Beach were still without power Saturday morning as the power company scrambles to restore service following an underground vault explosion on Thursday.
“There’ll be two-man crews and they’re going to inspect those vaults to ensure they’re safe and that they can perform the way they’re supposed to, which is safe and reliably”, Conroy said.
Long Beach officials have been upset with Edison over the second outage, expressing frustration with further disruption.

The findings were unclear, but officials initially estimated power would be restored late Friday afternoon if no additional problems were found. SoCal Edison was planning to provide affected residents with flashlights, water and snacks at 8 a.m. this morning at Cesar Chavez Park.
