Eli Walker back in Wales squad for Rugby World Cup
Wales have called up Ospreys wing Eli Walker to replace the injured Liam Williams for the remainder of the Rugby World Cup.

Once-capped Walker, 23, was in Wales’ initial 31-man squad, but then omitted because of a hamstring injury.
Just minutes after coming on as a replacement wing, with Wales 25-18 behind, Williams collected a pass from centre Jamie Roberts and sprinted down the touchline before his perfectly-weighted cross-kick infield was gathered by Davies who went in for a spectacular try under the posts.
And his loss is a particular blow heading towards next weekend’s quarter-final clash against twice world champions South Africa.
Williams, meanwhile, is set for further surgery after aggravating a foot injury in last weekend’s Pool A decider against Australia.
Williams was the sixth member of coach Warren Gatland’s original squad to be sidelined by injury, following Halfpenny, Rhys Webb, Scott Williams, Hallam Amos and Cory Allen.
“He’s a huge player for us, and he did well again (on Saturday)”.
“It was not something to think about at the time, but looking back it shows we have big character in the squad”.

Fly-half Dan Biggar says that Wales will take inspiration from their recent history against South Africa when they head into punishing World Cup knockout territory. “We all believed we could have won the game, but we had slipped behind”, he said.
