Elizabeth Banks Compares Donald Trump to ‘Hunger Games’ Character at DNC
On Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention, actress Elizabeth Banks did her best impersonation of Trump’s blustery entrance, then went in for a dig.

Banks also compared Trump to her Hunger Games character, Effie Trinket. “So when I tuned into Cleveland last week I was like, ‘Uh, hey, that’s my act!'”.
“You know, I don’t usually say this about Donald Trump”.
For reference, here’s Trump’s widely mocked entrance at the RNC, when he showed up to introduce his wife, Melania. She went to work advocating for children and families.
Democratic policies that focus on good public schools, affordable health care and help in hard times, she said, allowed them to do that – and allowed her to be at the convention in Philadelphia. “I confirmed it, just now”, Banks said of the entrance. But it was Hillary, not Bill, who caught Banks’ attention.
Banks had the honor to play another former first lady when she portrayed Laura Bush in Oliver Stone’s 2008 George W. Bush biopic W. “Hillary Clinton rocked my world”.
Watch the clip above for more honest sentiment from Banks, who shares the story of her parents’ struggle to offer her a good life, and tell us what you think of the speech. It is unclear if the DNC requested and was granted permission to use the Queen song.
Tuesday was a night when politicians and celebs talked about the personal experiences with Hillary Clinton to try to soften her image and make her seem “more humanized” to potential voters.

To close out the evening, actress Meryl Streep, wearing an American flag-motif dress, likened Clinton’s “grit and grace” to a host of women trailblazers through history, from Harriet Tubman to Sally Ride.
