Elizabeth Warren Endorses Hillary Clinton: Will She Be Her Vice President?
That seemed inevitable. Clinton last week claimed the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, secured President Barack Obama’s endorsement and took immediate aim at Trump. “I’ve seen her commitment to our values up close”.

After almost eight years in the White House, Obama is still one of the country’s most popular politicians.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren also endorsed Mrs Clinton on Thursday. Still, that would be a tough sell for the senator from Vermont: Clinton won more primary contests, more of the popular vote and more regular pledged delegates.
“It is unbelievable to me … that the Republican Party would have a candidate for president who in 2016 makes bigotry and discrimination the cornerstone of his campaign”, he said.
Thwarted presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders refused Thursday to bow out before the final Democratic primary next week, but said he would meet rival Hillary Clinton soon to foster party unity in the battle against Donald Trump.
According to the most recent YouGov poll released on May 25, half of Sanders’ supporters would turn away from Clinton in a matchup between the former Secretary of State and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
He continued, “In fact, I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office”.
Warren was the only female Democrat in the Senate not to have endorsed Clinton.
She is the first Clinton hire from the Sanders operation and will work with the Clinton campaign’s state team in outreach efforts to young voters.
“This is the first time I think that we’ve heard you say that you’re going to support the nominee and acknowledge that the nominee is Hillary Clinton”. Her seal of approval, though it was probably always coming, is a nod she finds Clinton palatable for a progressive agenda.
“It’s just such a treat because over the years of knowing each other, we’ve gone from fierce competitors to true friends”.

Asked about Trump’s tweet, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Obama and Clinton have had some differences, but emphasized the respect Obama gained for Clinton while they worked together. He was at the White House for discussions on how to heal rifts in the Democratic Party.
