A top aide to Hillary Clinton at the State Department agreed to try to obtain a special diplomatic passport for an adviser to former President Bill Clinton in 2009, according to emails released on Thursday, raising new questions about whether people tied to the Clinton Foundation received special access at the department.

The Washington Post reports that Bill Clinton made millions of dollars through an “honorary” job with a for-profit education firm.
Clinton compared Russian activity to the bungled 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee’s office in the Watergate hotel, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974.
Wednesday’s visit will put Carlisle on the map, said Mayor Tim Scott, a member of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee.
“His Trump Foundation has been fined for illegal activity, when it made a political contribution to the attorney general of Florida at the time she was being asked by her constituents to investigate Trump University”, Clinton said.
“I’ll tell you why we did this book”, Clinton said. “I want everyone – Democrat, Republican, Independent – to understand the real threat that this represents”.
“A lot of these private-education guys, they’re looking to get into events like this one”, said Sam Pitroda, a higher-education expert who was representing a policy commission from India at the State Department dinner.

Among the others campaigning for Clinton this week: Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s Cecile Richards, Delaware Gov. Jack Markell, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, former Texas state senator Wendy Davis and NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue.
Schweizer said in August that the reported relationship between the foundation and foreign donors was “joined at the hip” with Hillary Clinton’s ongoing email scandal. It is unclear how frequently the foundation sought advice from the State Department on meetings involving Bill Clinton.
Becker, the company’s founder, had meanwhile donated to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and gave $2,700 to her current 2016 bid. The investigation revealed nothing illegal but it showed how the Clinton family managed to blur the lines between their foundation and the US Department of State.
Now, Clinton is working to shift the spotlight onto foundation work that may have compromised Donald Trump.
Clinton herself has as many public events Monday as she’s had in the past two weeks.
Clinton left the foundation’s board a year ago.

But minutes later, Merrill informed the traveling press corps that Clinton was not responsible for marking the answer – it was actually Merrill who had circled the orange, and Clinton never indicated her preferred dinner partner.
