The youngest of the Tromp siblings has been charged with stealing a auto during a freaky week on the run.

On Monday Ella, 22, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possessing the proceeds of crime, which allegedly occurred on the “road trip”. She was bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates Court on April 19, 2017.

Her sister, 29-year-old Riana, was also charged with theft, but the charges were dismissed under Section 33 of the Mental Health Act of New South Wales.

No other charges were expected against any other family member, police said, despite time and resources in two states being spent hunting for the family.

Ella and Riana allegedly left Jenolan Caves in a stolen vehicle.

Ella and Riana then left their parents and allegedly stole a vehicle.

Riana was found “catatonic” in the back of a ute last week and taken to hospital in NSW, where she remains on Monday.

Riana was found by a Goulburn man in his ute “disorientated and distressed”. We are left with nearly as many questions as answers.

Jacoba and eldest daughter Riana remain in hospital in Goulburn being assessed by mental health practitioners. From there she was transferred to a Goulburn mental health facility. And how did she get to Yass?

Mark was reportedly paranoid that someone was going to kill them, but police have said the family were never in danger.

On Sunday in Silvan, Mitchell and Ella were unable to explain what happened on the trip. But have they said everything they know?

Before Mark was found his family told the media they believed their father was still in Victoria after a series of break-ins in Milawa, a small town south-east of Wangaratta, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Mitch and Ella said their mother and sister are both doing well and are being treated by specialists.

Ella had admitted she was confused about the unusual events that played out.

The siblings were reluctant to expand further on details saying “police are still investigating”.

Mitchell told reporters Sunday morning that he was happy that his father was found alive, but said the reason for the trip was a “family matter”, according to the Australian Associated Press.

“He’s not risky, he’s my mate, my father”. When it was discovered Mitchell had his phone, he was told to throw it out by his father.

The development was the latest in a case that has confounded the public, the media and law enforcement bodies, which began when the Tromp family fled their Yarra Ranges home one week ago.

“I can see everyone’s questions”, Mitchell said. It’s really hard to explain or put a word on it but they were just fearing for their lives and then they made a decision to flee, ‘ Mitchell said.

Mitch said the “pressure”, as he described it, “slowly got worse as the days went by”.
