Ellie Goulding calls for ‘spirit of Glastonbury’ after Brexit vote
Adele demonstrated why she’s the most popular recording artist of our generation last night with a heartwarming performance at Glastonbury Festival, in which she was adorably gross.

It’s reported that her mum Penny was in the crowd too, having camped on-site to see her daughter perform at the prestigious event.
Adele opened with one of her recent hits, Hello, changing one of the lines to, “I’ve been Glastonbury dreaming” (which naturally made the crowd go wild).
The British singer told the crowd gathered at the Pyramid Stage that things had been unusual following the vote in favour of leaving the European Union, but that she was happy to be in a place where people had come together. “I’ll see you later, Maria”, she said, as she continued to laugh.
Breaking her silence four songs into her performance, she told the crowd of thousands: “This is the best fucking moment of my whole life”. Glastonbury means the world to me, I’m not even lying.
One user jokingly posted a picture of “Adele’s swear jar”, an image of an extraordinary amount of coins, while another slammed her not only for swearing, but for bringing a child onto the stage and belching in her face.
“I think as a society we are coming into an age now where people are done with the whole taboo thing”, the singer explained.
Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is preparing for his band to headline Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage tonight, for the third time in their career. She’s just like one of us. “I bet Muse didn’t get that”. The Telegraph called her “utterly authentic” for talking to the 100,000-strong crowd in between songs, and the Independent said it was “impossible not to love her”. “Because I’m really here in real life”. Her production manager came onstage and asked for a path to be cleared and Adele, joked, “I hope they’re okay”. Adele was quick to shut them up, of course: ‘To be honest I’ve probably been more times than them anyway, so shut up’.

Throughout her 90-minute set, the Grammy victor belted her biggest hits, including “Hello”, “Rolling In the Deep” and “Someone Like You”, as well as some fan favorites from her latest album, 25.
