Elneny needs to adapt to physical nature of Premier League – Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is not planning on signing a striker in January as he believes the returning Danny Welbeck is better than anyone available on the market.

Sanchez has not featured for the Gunners since pulling a hamstring against Norwich in late November, with the Chilean having played rather a lot of games over the past year or two.

With that in mind Wenger will be keeping a close eye on which players need a bench break ahead of Sunday’s trip to Stoke – and whether the time is right to unleash the fit-again Alexis Sanchez.

Paddy Power are offering new customers enhanced odds of 4/1 on Tottenham to beat Sunderland on Saturday lunchtime. “The decision we have to have to make is whether to take a gamble or not on his injury”.

Arsenal are said to be stepping up their interest due to Real’s impending transfer ban.

Mark Hughes’ Stoke City side, who recorded victories over Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton amongst others earlier this term, will be hoping for another impressive display in-front of their passionate supporters.

Asked whether he would look to sign any further players after Mohamed Elneny’s arrival he said: “I would prefer to have the players back from injuries”. Bojan has been subbed in his last four outings after struggling to maintain the match-winning form that was earning him rave reviews towards the end of previous year.

“I am very keen to participate positively with my new team, God willing, indescribable feeling, I am really glad of course”, he told Arsenal Player.

“The fact that we have players coming back from injuries will help, yes”.

“At half time we came back in the game and again I think it is brilliant from Giroud but in the beginning we have to defend it better and be more concentrated”.

Fans turning against their own clubs has become a worrying trend, says Arsene Wenger.

“We have stabilised the results and got some consistency and the biggest challenge was to win the big games”. “We will see if he can qualify for Sunday”.
