Musk ran into criticism for Tesla’s bid of up to $2.5 billion last month for the financially troubled firm SolarCity, which installs solar panels and is run by Musk’s cousin, Lyndon Rive.

Tesla and Elon Musk are now dealing with an investigation into two different accidents where the drivers claim that Autopilot, Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving technology, was active at the time of a crash. “I hope he likes what we’ve done in his name”, Musk said.
“Working on Top Secret Tesla Masterplan, Part 2 would be published it later this week”.
Musk yesterday tweeted that Tesla Motors is just about ready to share the future vision of the company. Neither the Autopilot mode or the driver applied the brake.
There were also reports that the driver had been watching a movie at the time of the accident, as well as questions about whether he had been operating the Autopilot feature consistent with Tesla’s instructions.
After the electric auto maker did not meet its sales expectations for the first quarter, because parts shortages hampered the production, Tesla announced this week it managed to deliver just 14,370 vehicles, below the initial forecast of 17,000 units.
That’s not the only point where Tesla made news but it also came to the spot light when the company offered to acquire SolarCity. The latter company is now not profitable and its stock dropped by 15 percent in 2016’s first quarter.
As the result of the crash, NHTSA is now investigating about 25,000 Tesla cars.

Ever since the very publicized fatal Florida accident in a Model S while the Autopilot was activated, Tesla’s semi-autonomous driver assist system has been getting its reputation tarnished in the media. Musk expects the deal will help Tesla get into the market for sustainable energy for homes and businesses. If you take cues from the previous masterplan released in 2006, then one could easily expect some eye-opening insider scoop in the upcoming update.
