The quarterback ended his 18th year in the professional ranks by winning Super Bowl 50 on Sunday in Santa Clara, where the Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10.

Should Newton have thrown himself into the carnage in an effort to save the Panthers’ season. So, you can condemn and say, “Well, he gave up”.
“I’ve been on record saying I’m a sore loser, who likes to lose?”
Archie Manning told reporters last week “I think Peyton’s done in Denver”, but John Elway on Tuesday said no decision has been made. See you in six months, football.
SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy, a former Alabama quarterback and co-host of a SiriusXM College Sports Nation program, said he couldn’t chide Newton too much for the press conference behavior.
“When you invest so much time, when you sacrifice so much and things don’t go as planned, I think emotions take over”, he says.
“I was just focused on whether they were going for two, and knew the defense had to step up and make some stops.”
“Losing is hard. You can go talk to whoever you want, until you’ve lost this game and sat on this stage… you have no idea what that feels like to get peppered with questions about how your played or how your team played”. He said “that’s cool” if he offended anyone with his actions. I have never proclaimed that I was flawless. With the ball on the turf, it appeared Newton hesitated in his pursuit of the fumble.
“I didn’t get the fumble, but we can play tit-for-tat”, he said.
Cam said he felt like his leg was in a bad position and might have gotten rolled in when asked about the fumble he didn’t dive for. Please note that comments are automatically checked for inappropriate language and will be removed accordingly.
Newton’s teammates also supported him in the locker room, shouting “We love you”. When did they really hit adversity? And I leave everything else on the field. “I have a standard that I set for myself, and I’m not going to bend nor break”.
Addressing the crowd at the end of the parade, Manning credited his teammates for allowing him to garner his second championship, the only quarterback to win that honor with two different franchises.

“An unbelievable season. We did what a lot of people didn’t think we could do”, Newton said. To his critics, he came across as petulant and immature, unable to handle the disappointing loss on the biggest stage and unwilling to face the music in defeat. Some teams had two losses the first two weeks.
