‘Emergency in Delhi,’ tweets Kejriwal after AAP MLA held for ‘misbehaviour’
A day before, a case was registered against Mohaniya for misbehaving and mishandling some local women who had gone to the MLA’s office-cum-residence to complain about the irregular water supply in the area.

A team of Delhi police officers visited Mohaniya’s office around 12.10 pm and detained him for questioning.
“An FIR has been registered under Sections 323, 506 and 509 of IPC against Mohaniya at Neb Sarai Police Station following a complaint by the group of women”, Nupur Prasad, Additional DCP (South), said.
Two cases have been registered against the Sangam Vihar legislator in one week.
AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya has kicked the hornet’s nest yet again.
In support of his MLA, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that Modi has declared emergency in Delhi.
While Police took him outside, AAP lawmaker accused police of “hooliganism”. This outraged Mohaniya and he slapped the senior citizen. Based on the victims and witnesses statement the police filed an FIR against Mohaniya under sections 323, 341 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
A case was registered under Section 506 (criminal intimidation), Section 509 (word, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a woman) and Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code at the Neb Sarai Police Station.

60-year-old man, identified as local resident Rakesh, reportedly told the workers that he did not recognize Mohaniya but complained that water crisis is the biggest problem under his rule. “I am ready to cooperate with the police investigation but the allegations against me are baseless”, he said.
