Eminem & Skylar Grey Team for New Track ‘Kill For You’

(Radio.com) Eminem and Skylar Grey have joined forces for the new track “Kill For You”. Most know Grey wrote Em’s smash hit “Love The Way You Lie” with Rihanna, while Skyler’s own singles with Em (“Come On Let Me Ride” and “Twisted”) didn’t fare almost as well.

Influenced by the infamous crime couple Bonnie and Clyde, the track features Grey and Eminem personifying two different characters, with Grey promising to “kill for you” while Eminem is the manipulative, brainwashing half of the pair. “I was stoked when Marshall put a verse on it”, Grey told MTV. The song, stylistically, can be compared to what we heard from Eminem’s “A-hole” in terms of tempo, and much like that song, “Kill For You” shows both artists at their best. Inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, the song is a slow burn mid-tempo jam with an excellent chorus, leading into a spitfire verse from Eminem. The duo have come together once again for a new tune in “Kill for You”, set to appear on Grey’s forthcoming third LP Natural Causes.

The album is full of other great talent behind the boards, including her KIDinaKORNER label founder and Grammy-winning producer, Alex Da Kid, Mark Batson, and Mike Elizondo.
