The number of new Volkswagen cars registered in Germany declined by 2.0 percent in November, but VW remained the biggest-selling brand in its home country, official data showed on Wednesday.
That decision was based on Volkswagen’s advertisements about high mileage, good fuel economy and the vehicle being good for the environment. “It is a well thought-out crime”, Union heavy industries minister Anant Geete said at an event.ARAI found that Volkswagen violated emission norms in India to the extent of 8-9 times of the current levels, he said, adding that his ministry is referring the matter to Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to take action against the company. According to the assessment, all measures in the course of the recall, for all engine variants, will extend over the whole calendar year in 2016.
The Robert Bosch company has been drawn into the mess because of supplying parts for the VW diesel engines.
According to the lawsuit, “Volkswagen’s fraudulent scheme was facilitated and aided and abetted by defendant Bosch, which created the software used in Volkswagen’s defeat device”. One must nore, VW claims the existing installed software does not affect the vehicles’ handling, technical safety or road-worthiness.
South Korea also $12.3 million and ordered a recall of thousands of its diesel vehicles last week. “Nevertheless, Bosch proceeded to sell or license 11 million of the component devices to Volkswagen over the next seven years”, the lawsuit continues.
This week, a NY diesel Volkswagen owner filed a lawsuit against German auto supplier Robert Bosch GmbH, along with Volkswagen, former VW CEO Martin Winterkorn, and VW U.S boss Michael Horn.

Under US law, that would make Bosch a co-conspirator under anti-racketeering laws, making the company liable for triple damages for the fraud caused to US consumers, the lawsuit says.
