Emma Watson was allegedly at the centre of a kidnap plot. An open casting call for a young actress that will find herself in the role of the newest Harry Potter spin-off, resulted in a mass of over 10 000 young girls, ranging in age from 8 to 12, recently in London.

A spokesperson for the star told MailOnline: “The story was looked into by production and found to be unsubstantiated and untrue”.

Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards for his work on 1991’s Beauty and the Beast, is scoring the reboot. Thankfully it wasn’t true at all and Emma’s life isn’t in danger.

“They said the two studio staff travelling in the cab were chatting in a foreign language, unaware that the driver could understand every word”.

According to the British newspaper, a taxi driver overheard discussions between the employees and reported the conversation to his management, who in turn alerted studio staff. The 25-year-old actress is now safe and sound across the pond working on the highly anticipated live-action Disney flick!

Back in 2012 when Watson was filming her movie Noah on Long Island, a man snuck on set and approached her in the woods, giving the actress quite a scare. In the middle of the woods, the actress was approached by a man who she recognized from hanging around her home.

In 2011 when Emma was studying in the USA and had to be given a full-time bodyguard.
