After winning best drama previous year, “Game of Thrones” is up for the honor again on Sunday.

The epic drama is just a few wins away from setting a new record.

Variety Sketch Series: “Key & Peele”. ABC announced “Countdown to the Emmys: Red Carpet Live”, the official pre-show event leading into television’s biggest night. An Emmy award for “Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who portrays vice-president-turned-president, would be her fifth best comedy actress win.
Now, with Trevor Noah taking over the program was overlooked in this year’s balloting (as was “Late Show With Stephen Colbert”), opening the door for another late-night players to claim that mantle. But host Jimmy Kimmel has vowed not to poke fun at their recent split.
