Emre Can backs Jurgen Klopp for Liverpool job
Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler says he would jump at the chance to work as a coach under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Speaking to Die Welt before Rodgers’ departure, Can said: “Jurgen Klopp is certainly a great coach”. Let’s wait for something concrete to come out but I think it’s just a matter of time before Klopp arrives at Anfield.
McAllister remains at the club so presumably he too will be in the running should owners FSG decide the new manager needs a local connection on his coaching team.
Klopp, who is a known admirer of Liverpool’s summer signings Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino, is poised to be confirmed this week as manager at Anfield.
“And I think he can create that spark, that emotion, and give people hope again, which I think has been lost in the last 12 months”.
Klopp is the outright favourite to take over at the club as things stand with the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager undergoing talks with Liverpool surrounding a possible three-year deal (per the Telegraph).
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke emphatically endorsed Klopp’s managerial credentials Tuesday in an interview with Sky Sports. Rodgers, during his farewell speech at LMA, said he was very proud to be associated with such a “magnificent football heritage”. It is a marvellous club. “But the club has said, ‘We want a change, ‘ and that’s the club’s idea to change the manager and we all stand by that decision“.
Following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers earlier this week, the duo of Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti have been bandied around as the most likely candidates to fill the vacant Liverpool hot-seat.
“I can definitely see it happening and there’s absolutely no reservations at all in terms of his expertise”, Kahn told Sport1 television.
He left the Ruhr valley club in 2015 after seven years to take a break from football after finishing seventh in the Bundesliga.
Not among the players who trained this morning was Philippe Coutinho, who yesterday pulled out of Brazil’s squad for World Cup qualifiers with Chile and Venezuela. I was impressed with his performances for Dortmund.

“The pressure will be a little bit higher at the beginning compared to Dortmund but he has learned so much that he can handle it easily”.
