End of Game of Thrones confirmed

“Yes, they have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do”, Casey Bloys.

The next question Bloys answered was if he would consider doing a Thrones spin-off series?

Winter is coming for fans of “Game of Thrones”, with HBO announcing the show will be coming to an end after two more seasons. That season will include just seven episodes.

Game of Thrones fans have been thrown a tiny glimmer of hope that their favourite show might not be coming to an end after all. Season 7 is meant to have only seven episodes, down from the usual 10. Game of Thrones has such a rich world that Benioff and Weiss could probably find an interesting enough story to tell to extend the show a few more seasons, but it wouldn’t be right for the overarching story they’re trying to tell. The show is now averaging 4.4 million viewers, marking the most-watched season since the show’s debut run in 2003.

The number of eps for season eight hasn’t been decided yet, but the producers have planned a total of 75 episodes for the whole series.

Many are not over the holes left in their television viewing lineups left by “Sons of Anarchy”, and “Breaking Bad”, to name a couple, and heaven help us all when AMC and the showrunners decide that it is time for “The Walking Dead” to come to an end. I’m not sure that [Benioff and Weiss] could really wrap their heads around it when they’re just about to start production [on season 7]. I’m open to it. The guys aren’t opposed to it, but there’s no concrete plans’.

During his talk at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Bloys covered all kinds of GoT bases, from the Emmys to spinoff plans to confirming that Season 8 will indeed be the end. “But the point I would make in Game of Thrones, for example, is men are castrated”.
