England 200 for 5 at tea
Asad had a tremendous pressure on him after failing at Edgbaston, and being promoted up the order.

If Shafiq came into this game on the back of a miserable third Test, Younus had not passed 33 in six innings in the series. England fought back late in the final session with three wickets to remain in the contest as the visitors finished the day at 340 for 6.
Shafiq was unperturbed. O wing Pakistan runs after his pair in the defeat at Edgbaston last week which put England 2-1 up with just this match to play, he appeared throughout in consummate control.
We want YOU to share with us your thoughts on the action on day two and tell us who you think will win the Test. Moeen judged the catch to perfection while running backwards.
The ball sails into the crowd at deep midwicket.
MOEEN ALI revealed how he was inspired to his brilliant century in the Fourth Test by being “embarrassed” at Lord’s last month. At Old Trafford, the other bouncy pitch of this series, they managed 51 between the three of them in England’s first innings.
When Moeen walked to the wicket, England were 110 for five.
In glorious batting conditions, England mustered one wicket in each of the first two sessions – nightwatchman Yasir Shah and then Azhar Ali.
“I feel I have made an impact with the bat and I hope I can do the same with the ball”, added Moeen, who earlier in the series worked with Saqlain Mushtaq after the former Pakistan off-spinner was brought in by England as a temporary coaching consultant.
Moeen’s first delivery was a helmet-clanger from Wahab Riaz. So Moeen had some luck – but he sure made the most of it.
It seems churlish to mention that Moeen’s primary job is as the senior spin bowler – and he has yet to prove he is up to it at the highest level.
Vince’s days look numbered.
Vince nicked off again but perhaps he can not be blamed this time – he received a seaming, lifting screamer from Wahab Riaz.
He eventually fell to a splendid leaping catch by Stuart Broad at mid-wicket when pulling Finn, having added 150 for the fourth wicket with Younus.
Hales clipped to square leg where Yasir dived and claimed the catch.
Hales appeared to mutter in disappointment as he left the crease, but it was his subsequent reaction inside closed doors which transgressed. Then Pakistan’s day started to unravel.
Wahab might have had another in his first over after lunch when Bairstow, on 13, picked out Yasir at point only for the wicket to be chalked off because of a front-foot no-ball – one delivery after being called for over-stepping.

But Pakistan’s pace bowlers found enough bounce to run through the top half of England’s batting, leaving the latest rescue in the hands of Jonny Bairstow and Moeen – and of fate, which saw them both reprieved before their counterattack had been launched. Broad made a two-ball duck but both Steven Finn (eight) and Jimmy Anderson hung around to irritate them further.
