Pakistan s performance in Tests has been more impressive as compared to other cricket playing nations as they have not played a Test series at home since 2009 when Sri Lankan team was attacked in Lahore.

The all-rounder picked up 26 wickets at 16.73, announcing himself with an 11-wicket haul in the first Test at Lord’s, going on to make crucial contributions in England’s two Test wins over Pakistan as they drew the series 2-2.

PM also applauded efforts of talented leg-spinner Yasir Shah who took six wickets that consolidated Pakistan Cricket Team’s position in the match.

As the day two of the final Test between England and Pakistan which is being played at the Oval came to an end, the visitors had scored 340 runs with the loss of six wickets.

LONDON: The special 200 from Younis Khan followed by Yasir’s magical five wickets helped Pakistan to beat England by 10-wickets in the fourth Test at the Oval and end the four-match series by 2-2.

However, after Pakistan had chiselled out two vital wickets in a nervy morning’s work, the return of Wahab’s fierce pace in the first hour after lunch was the moment at which all hope for England was blown away.

We had an opportunity to win it 3-1 coming into this game but Pakistan bounced back really well and deserved to win this game.

“I promise you nothing has been talked about in our dressing room … and players are not aware of any chance of opting in or out of tours at this stage”.

Chris Woakes, England’s last recognised batsman, was unbeaten on nought at the interval.

Ali and wicket-keeper Bairstow had shared a first-innings stand of 93 but England wanted an even bigger partnership from them now.

Resuming on 88 for four – still 126 adrift – England needed a miracle and, despite Jonny Bairstow’s battling 81, it was not forthcoming.

However, this is the first series under Bayliss where England have come up short. Simply with Sarfraz Ahmed and three tailenders, Younus added 202 to that overnight lead and made it invincible.

“It’s not easy”, said Cook. I think if everyone was judged on making a mistake like that, a lot of us would be in trouble. Steven Finn and James Anderson managed to drag England past the 250 mark with Pakistan finally bowling them out for 253.

Nottinghamshire and England teammate Stuart Broad received a 20% fine for his Twitter comments on the topic. England who batted first were knocked out for 328, and the Asian side had got a marginal lead of twelve runs.

Reports in the British press Friday suggested England players would be allowed to skip the trip without endangering their long-term future in worldwide cricket even if longstanding security advisor Reg Dickason gave the go-ahead to the tour.
