Over 60,000 people have signed a petition to have the proceeds of Tuesday’s friendly between England and France donated to relief efforts after Friday’s terror attack in Paris.

Glenn said: “We’d like fans to turn up a bit earlier as there will be more security checks and police around the area”.
The France squad spent Friday night inside the Stade de France with their Germany counterparts after their 2-0 friendly win over the world champions. “We would have been perfectly content with the game being called off but we were told the game was to go ahead so we’ve tried our best to prepare accordingly”.
“I’ve got to say I’m finding it hard to balance the enormity of the occasion with questions about the football players”, he said.
France have touched down in the United Kingdom ahead of their friendly with England on Tuesday.
It read: “UEFA is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic events which occurred in Paris last night and wishes to express its support and solidarity to France and to those affected by these terrible acts”.
“I’ve never (been involved in) a game four days after a tragedy of this enormous proportion”.
“I understand fully the French authorities had a very clear opinion on playing the game so it was very easy for us to go along with that”, Hodgson told a news conference.
He also said his side would have had no problem if France had wanted to call the game off.
But the country’s legendary striker Just Fontaine, who scored an astonishing 13 goals in six games at the 1958 World Cup, has said he believes France should relinquish their right to stage the event.
There were two explosions outside the stadium itself during the first half and French President Francois Hollande, who was there watching the game, was evacuated and immediately held an emergency meeting.
The Stade de France was one of those locations targeted with at least three bombs being set off outside the stadium as France took on Germany. “Then I informed Deschamps around midday [on Saturday]”.
“It will be a tough night, I’m sure, for the French players, but they’ll give everything they can to make France proud”.

Other landmark buildings across the borough sent messages of condolence and displayed solidarity with Parisians including the Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple on Kingsbury Road, which paid tribute with a light display in the colours of the French flag. Football has the power to do that and I think the world of football needs to stay strong together.
