A brilliant performance saw Klopp’s Liverpool thrash Chelsea 1-3 at Stamford Bridge.
Asked whether he was “worried” Mourinho said: “No. anxious about what?”
While Chelsea lurch from crisis to crisis – they have lost nine times in all competitions including their midweek defeat on penalties by Stoke City in the League Cup which they won last season – Liverpool are buoyant.
Information from the Press Association was used in this report.
Kelly: Did the game get away from you today?
Jose, do you think this has been your last match here? You are not punished.
You said it to the fourth official [Lee Mason], ‘If that was me …’
“We made a goal and deserved the draw at half time”.
“Then, what happened in the second half is a outcome of a few crucial moments”. “The players more than see, they felt it and from now what happens is just a effect”.
Jurgen Klopp, who was impressed by the 22-year old’s performance against Chelsea, also lauded his entire team’s performance. “I’m so sorry – I have nothing to say”.
According to football analysts, Mourinho may have chosen to merely make an appearance to avoid fines that are often imposed on managers who snub post-match interviews. “If you want to write, you write. You could feel the desire and that the game was 50/50”.
Mourinho refused to comment on speculation over his future ahead of Saturday’s match, although did admit for the first time that he can not guarantee Chelsea will qualify for the Champions League next season.
The ex-Chelsea striker said on the BBC’s Final Score: “I don’t know where Chelsea are going at the moment under him”.
“Then I will start preparing the training session for tomorrow morning and the game for Wednesday [against Dynamo Kiev]”.
They had enjoyed the better of the play for most of the first half, but seemed destined to go in at the interval still a goal behind. I’m not sure it was a foul.
Benteke sealed the win for Liverpool, adding a third with a neat finish.
But this is an example of how maybe people over do things just a bit nowadays because our disruptions, although I wouldn’t recommend them, did our lads no harm at all.
