Entenmann’s brownies and muffins recalled over concerns of plastic in the product

The products were distributed to retail stores in the last two weeks.
Bimbo Bakeries – which makes the packaged Entenmann’s Little Bites snacks – just issued a mini muffin recall.
The company that makes the Little Bites products, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc.in IL, said the snacks are being recalled because of “small pieces of plastic caused by a manufacturing failure”.
Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, and Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Muffins are all being recalled.
Anyone with questions on the recall can reach Bimbo Bakeries at 1-800-984-0989 any time of day, the company said.
The Chocolate Chip Muffins had a “Best by” date of October 8, 2016 and UPC bar code of 7203001353. Three other products affected by the recall were not distributed in Kansas.
Bimbo Bakeries advises consumers who purchased the recalled product to dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“All of the recalled products are being removed from store shelves”, the FDA said on its website. The variety packs recalled have the expiration date of September 24.
