EPL 2015-16: John Terry keen to prolong Chelsea stay

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has denied reports claiming the Blues rejected a £75million transfer offer from Chinese club Jiangsu Suning for Oscar.

Azpilicueta expects Terry to give his all for Chelsea amid his contract stand off. “So I also hope to get the support of the media this week”. “They need to bring in qualified people and have academies”, Hiddink said.

Diego Costa’s late equaliser means Chelsea are still unbeaten under Hiddink, but only two of the Dutchman’s eight Premier League games have been won.

“But since I arrived at Chelsea I have learnt a lot from him”. I don’t think the influence is huge.

Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been split through the middle due to one debate in the bar this evening, which concerns one of their long-serving players keeps raising.

“I had some contacts over there that were very keen, not to bring in big money and star players, but it is equally important for the development of Chinese football to bring in players to educate and help academies”, he said ahead of Chelsea’s game against Manchester United on 7 February.

On Wednesday night he was involved in a flare-up with Watford defender Juan Carlos Paredes, although it appeared the Ecuadorian was looking to have Costa sent off as he went down holding his face from little to no contact.

“I had some possibilities to go there in the recent past”, said Hiddink, who did not expand on the comment.

“He will not be in for the upcoming few games because we want to have him fit because we don’t want the risk of injury in this tough league”. I have played alongside him on the left for most of the time, even in training.

Chelsea supporters made their feelings clear to the onlooking owner Roman Abramovich at Stamford Bridge, singing “sign him up” repeatedly, while the usual fan banners at either end of the ground were peeled back so one remained.
