EPL 2015: Twitter goes berserk after Aguero’s five-goal-haul
Sergio Aguero has said Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was right to deny him the chance of a record-breaking sixth goal against Newcastle.

Sergio Aguero scored five goals in the space of 20 minutes as the Magpies completely capitulated in a game where Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his first goal in Newcastle colours.
Yet, after Aguero joined Alan Shearer, Andrew Cole, Jermain Defoe and Dimitar Berbatov in that exclusive group, City manager Pellegrini said there had been injury concerns about his star at the interval, at which point City were drawing 1-1 after Aguero claimed an equaliser late in the first half.
Barely a minute later Aguero completed his hat-trick, in a time of under nine minutes that made it the fifth-fastest treble since the Premier League was founded. It’s awesome to play with him – I am so happy I don’t have to play against him. “He is always a player who makes a difference”. For different reasons in the last games he misses important chances but he was calm.
Aguero has finished as City’s top scorer in three out of four seasons since being signed from Atletico Madrid for £38million in 2011.
“Everyone is happy for him because every year he is improving. David [Silva], Kun, Yaya [Toure], Kevin De Bruyne, Sterling, Fernandinho – they are all technical players”.
Jamie Vardy won and converted a debatable penalty in the 28th minute, taking his tally to seven in eight appearances this season, before Jeffrey Schlupp doubled the lead. Chancel Mbemba’s initial cross was half-cleared by Eliaquim Mangala but Georginio Wijnaldum quickly returned the ball and Mitrovic headed in from six yards. That’s not going to get us anywhere.
Although defensive issues have been the primary problem during City’s recent stutter the form of Aguero has not gone unnoticed.
(CNN)Without defensive standout Vincent Kompany, Manchester City struggled in the first half against lowly Newcastle in the English Premier League on Saturday. McClaren, who didn’t win any of his final four matches in charge of Middlesbrough, is without a Premier League victory since April 2006.

Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle netted in the second half to give Southampton its first win at Chelsea since 2002. Steven Fletcher and Jeremain Lens, who scored a classy chip, put Sunderland 2-0 up, but Lens was then sent off for two bookable offences and goals from Carl Jenkinson and Dimitri Payet earned West Ham a point. Manchester United have been the most consistent of City’s rivals to date but it is still early to suggest they are capable of sustaining their results over the long term. It wasn’t quite the heaviest scoreline Newcastle have suffered in the Premier League, but it was up there, and they now face what is turning into a must-win game against Norwich City in a fortnight.
