Manchester City made it two wins from two to begin their Premier League season after a relatively straightforward 4-1 victory against Stoke City at bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

While Liverpool stumbled and City strolled, champions Leicester City are still awaiting the first win of their title defence after being held to a 0-0 draw by Arsenal.

“In the first half we did fine and were asking questions, disrupting what they wanted to do”.

“He is a very good coach in terms of what happens on the pitch but his communication was not so good with me”, Shaqiri told The Daily Mail. We have to improve many, many things. Burnley deserved to win with a very passionate performance.

“It has been a nice week for us – Sunderland and today”.

The 20-year-old who this week signed a two-year contract extension replaced Sergio Aguero with nine minutes left to play laid a ideal pass on a plate for Nolito to fire home from close range for the Spaniard’s first Premier League goal. De Bruyne curls in a free kick from the right, and Aguero glances a low header into the bottom corner.

Minutes after the break, Stoke appeared to have got themselves back into the game when Raheem Sterling, recklessly brushed Shawcross with his hand. It is impossible to come here for 90 minutes and control the game.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager said Agüero must help his team mates with his movements off the ball.

“We have only had one month together – there is time to get better”, he said.

Manchester City wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed he is learning from on-form Citizen striker Sergio Aguero. We’ve played tough games in the last week.

“Second half we did okay, we conceded the second goal through the guys not doing their jobs correctly”. Shawcorss was judged to have pulled Otamendi in the penalty area, and the referee whistled for a penalty. “The manager makes mistakes, the referees make mistakes”.

Guardiola has overseen victories in his opening three games and progress to the Champions League stage should be confirmed on Wednesday, with last week’s convincing success in Romania leaving the second leg little more than a formality.

With such a commanding lead, Guardiola is ready to make changes to his team in order to freshen his squad ahead of Sunday’s Premier League encounter with West Ham United.

Chelsea’s win was harder to come by at Vicarage Road. In the first three competitive matches of the season, the back-line has only allowed two goals combined.

Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama scored his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur to clinch a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.
