Jennifer Medina broke down as she checked the critically injured young man for identification only recognise brother Cesar’s picture staring back at her from his wallet. When I saw the wallet it looked familiar and when we (opened) it and saw my brother’s face on the ID (my) whole world collapsed.
His sister, Jennifer Medina, was working a busy shift at the hospital when her 23-year-old brother was brought in unresponsive and not breathing.
Cesar Andres Medina is seen in a photo published on a GoFundMe page after he was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in San Juan Capistrano on Friday, October 2, 2015.
A 19-year-old Laguna Niguel man was arrested Saturday night in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident the day before, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. News reports say he was skateboarding. “The nurses I call my friends all came and held me as I cried on the hospital floor”, she said on the page.
“Please I’m begging the guy that killed my nephew to go to the police”, said Mary Floyd, the victim’s aunt. “I just knew I wanted to say my last goodbyes to Andy after they cleaned him up”, she told reporters. “I was supposed to be the one in the trauma room registering him but thank goodness I wasn’t”, quotes CBS. On Saturday night, OCSD traffic investigators obtained information that led them to Michaels’ home in Laguna Niguel. The Dodge Ram truck was towed and will be processed for additional evidence.
“A short time later, Michaels contacted sheriff’s deputies at the station and following an interview with investigators Michaels was arrested”.
