The England global has established himself as an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans in the last couple of seasons, whilst also featuring at worldwide level.

Dier is set to get his first taste of Champions League football when Spurs host Monaco at Wembley tomorrow night.

According to The Evening Standard, Dier has signed a contract worth almost £70,000-a-week, and is evidently now expected to push on and become a leading player for Spurs as they look to compete both in the Premier League and Champions League this season.

During that time, Dier has switched positions from defence to midfield, where he has cemented a place in the Spurs team.

Since making the move to White Hart Lane, Dier – who has 11 England caps – has made 87 club appearances and scored six goals.
