Ivanka Trump gave an interview to CNN tonight and talked about how she has advised her father about toning down the rhetoric. Trump said his speech would focus on why his father had made a decision to run, and that he did – but boasting about how many primary votes his father received without mentioning Cruz’s speech did little to revive the atmosphere that the Texas senator has sucked from the room. Both Ivanka and Trump’s wife, Melania, have expressed their desire for Trump to act more “presidential” on the campaign trail.
Ivanka Trump spent many months of the primary campaign pregnant with her third child and her father would joke how wonderful it would be if the baby was born in whichever state he was now campaigning, from Iowa to New Hampshire to SC. “So, it’s wonderful for me, as a daughter, to see how passionate people are about this election cycle, and it’s just been great”, she said.
