He previously defended former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who’s been accused of sexually harassing multiple women over the years, and when he clarified his answer after finding out it was more than just one woman accusing Ailes, Trump showed how blind he is to what real people go through.

Gretchen Carlson, the former news anchor and host bringing the lawsuit against Ailes, understandably took the comments as a jab against her personal fortitude. “At the same time, I don’t think she would allow herself to be subjected to it”. While the Republican candidate seemingly feels no sympathy for the Khans, he has revealed a softer heart when it comes to Ailes’ plight, saying on several occasions that Ailes is a good friend and “a very good person”. The timeline between reporting the harassment and actually handing down the penalty can take some time and the victim can be a sitting duck for even worse harassment by a very coy co-worker during that wait.

If the Trumps insist on being in the public eye and running for office, I’m going to have to ask that they stop talking about women and issues that primarily effect women all together. A woman, of course, doesn’t look anything like any USA president, since there’s never been a female running America.
