Fresno State will announce the outcomes of Greenlee’s and Hughes’ cases on Saturday before the Bulldogs’ game at San Jose State.

Ervin’s rushing total was the most in an FBS game this season.

Within the rivalry, San Jose State has now won three of the last four matchups after picking up just two wins in the previous 20 years.
In the first quarter, Ervin scored twice, each time from two yards out, to give the Spartans an early 14-point lead. San Jose State responded later in the period, however, when Gray hit senior receiver Hansell Wilson for a 20-yard score. San Jose State lead 21-10 at halftime. Fresno State didn’t receive a first down until the 10 minute mark of the second quarter.
He completed 20 of his 23 pass attempts, a tremendous 87 percent completion rate, for 252 yards and three touchdowns.
When the sophomore finally did enter the game, however, the results were disastrous.
It was the second straight game in which a bobbled snap by Carrizosa set up an opponent’s TD. Most recently, the Spartans lost at Oregon State, 35-21, on September 19. Fresno State, in turn, could only come up with 247 yards against San Jose State’s defense.
In fact, SJSU’s defense as a whole played well – its secondary in particular.
Two members of the Fresno State football team – quarterback Zack Greenlee and linebacker Brandon Hughes – also were arrested.

Childress started in Greenlee’s place and struggled in the first quarter.
