Erykah Badu shares details about new mixtape, due out next week

The mixtape, titled But You Caint Use My Phone, is named after a lyric from the singer’s 1997 single “Tyrone”.
In an interview with Noisy, Badu offered up details surrounded her new mixtape, But You Caint Use My Phone, revealing that it will be arriving as soon as next week. Although it’s up in the air since the carefree Badu hasn’t stressed the particulars.
“I’m writing all the time, but recently I got the bug back”, she says.
“Mostly procrastinating. And within that I just kinda live and experience”. Badu added that she loves Drake “because he’s ever-evolving” and “keeps forecasting what will happen”. I liked that. That’s the way we’re supposed to handle it!
Badu will also be hosting the Soul Train Awards next month and premiering a one-woman show in Dallas this week. So it’s an wonderful thing, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
