Escaped Broward murder suspect arrested in West Palm Beach
Dayonte Resiles, a murder suspect who escaped from the Broward County courthouse almost a week ago, was recaptured late Wednesday night in Palm Beach County, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a statement late Wednesday that the search for 21-year-old Dayonte Resiles has ended with his capture.
The Sun Sentinel (http://goo.gl/ssFpu9) reports that the guard realized his key was missing in a courtroom Tuesday, just a day after Sheriff Scott Israel promised to tighten security at the Broward County Courthouse.
The drama first unfolded last Friday morning on the fourth floor of the downtown Broward Courthouse, where Resiles was supposed to attend a hearing on whether he will face the death penalty for the 2014 slaying of Jill Halliburton Su.

Authorities also have boosted the reward to $50,000 for information leading to Resiles’ capture.
Resilies’ 18-year-old girlfriend and four others are believed to be involved in the escape.
“You may not have any communication with any outside persons or any persons who are incarcerated in the Broward County jail”.
Authorities said Resiles is considered armed and unsafe.
BSO said Resiles’ escape was the result of days of planning with Stern and Russell, a hand signal and a cough into a phone. 18-year-old Paige Jackson is alleged to have helped Resiles in communicating with others regarding his escape plan through phone calls.
She and another man, Winston Russell, allegedly drove to the courthouse with a change of clothes before Resiles ran out and jumped in the BMW, authorities say in documents.
They bring to seven the number of people charged with helping Resiles escape last Friday from a Broward County Courthouse courtroom. Although one bailiff grabbed the collar of Resiles’ jumpsuit, he was able to wriggle out of it and flee down a stairwell. He laid on the ground, he allowed us to handcuff him.
Three of them, including an already-jailed murder suspect, were charged Tuesday and Wednesday in the hours before Resiles was nabbed.
The sheriff says no force was necessary. A news conference was expected later.
Callers posing as tipsters offered bogus information to throw detectives off the trail, according to agency spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright.
“I’m not saying saying I feel mentally disturbed”, Resiles responded, “but I’m not saying I won’t”.
Seated in a jury box with other inmates, Resiles suddenly leaped over a low courtroom wall, eluded the grasp of courtroom bailiffs and sprinted down a hallway toward a set of stairs, witnesses said.

According to officials, it was a tip that led Police to the Days Inn hotel located at 2300 45th St., in West Palm Beach.
