NY has a few guys (Willie Colon, Calvin Pryor, Bilal Powell) who might have played on a Sunday but likely won’t suit up on Thursday. Taylor can throw but will he be testing Revis Thursday night?

Muhammad WilkersonBuffalo’s rookie right guard has held his own most weeks. Fitz will need to be on his toes though, given the way the Bills chased down the Jets QB in their two meetings last season. Watkins is an excellent study of opposing corners as evidenced by the way he set up Brent Grimes last week. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins was also limited, though expects to play. Ryan Fitzpatrick of the Jets is 38-58-1 as a starting QB in the NFL. That matchup is a wash.
Ryan was the coach for the Jets in recent years before being let go after years of struggled in NY.
During a press conferences Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills’ head coach was asked a question about the NY Jets (his Week 10 opponent), yet he proceeded to talk about New England. Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 21 of 34 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns.
“It’s going to be a passionate game”. Look for the Jets to try and take away McCoy while adopting a bend-but-don’t-break attitude that allows Taylor to eat up yardage on the ground and in the air without ever connecting for a big play.
The Jets know what’s coming, too. That’s about as close as Bills fans have come in the last 15 years. They ran for just 29 total yards against the Jaguars.
This is a must win for both teams as the Bills look to earn bragging rights, while the Jets look to improve to 6-3 and remain as contenders for the division. NY is going to utilize Ivory as a workhorse this week and he is going to have yet another big game. Over that span the Jets are averaging less than 2.5 yards per carry (2.46). Buffalo will travel to the Meadowlands for the 8:25 kickoff Thursday.
In the wake of Ryan’s exit in December, there were small rumblings of discontent from players. The Bills are on the road facing what will surely be a hostile crowd eager to see Rex get payback. He has 55 carries for 84 yards (1.5) in the last three games and the Jets lost two of those games and were able to sneak out a win last week against Jacksonville.
However, the Jets’ 2010-2011 Divisional Round win was certainly the most extraordinary. Buffalo CBs Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby will both have their hands full with Jets WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker who have combined for 90 receptions and 11 TDs.
McCoy was fresh as he’s been all season in rushing for 112 yards on 16 attempts with a touchdown against Miami. The Jets are 0-2-1 against the spread in their last three games, but are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight home games. “It’s a huge game for us and if he’s healthy then he’s going to be out there”. We understand what’s at stake and that’s why we’re taking this week as we are.
This is the NFL…..and as much as the writer of the aforementioned article would like to remind us that the NFL wants to change their image, deep down inside, the League and the owners love this stuff. With the Bills, Ryan is every bit the charismatic, outspoken figure he’s been since becoming a head coach.
