Gareth Bale scored his second goal of the tournament to put his Welsh team ahead with a stunning free-kick.

Halftime substitute Daniel Sturridge scored an injury-time victor to give England a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Wales on Thursday at the European Championship.

Here we look at the permutations for England and Wales ahead of their final group games against Slovakia and Russian Federation respectively.

“We gave 100 per cent and can’t have any regrets”, Bale told uefa.com after Sturridge’s injury-time strike gave England a dramatic victory. “We think he’s going to be all right”.

Coleman said he would broadly have accepted before the tournament going into the last game in control of their destiny, with a win guaranteeing they will reach the knock-out phase. They conceded against Russian Federation in the last minute and they showed good courage to come back in the second game, so we’ve got to do the same thing.

Jamie Vardy became the first Leicester City player to score for England at a major championship finals as Roy Hodgson’s men took a huge step towards booking their place in the last 16 at Euro 2016.

“We are here to get through to the last 16 and we have to show a reaction against Russian Federation”.

If England lose then they can not finish top of the group, as Slovakia would move ahead of them with six points.

CHRIS Coleman described England’s last-gasp victor as one of the lowest points of his career but the Wales boss insists his side’s Euro 2016 fate is still in their own hands. “It took some very good defending from the Wales back five to keep us out”. We are still in the thick of it. Fans were incredible! Must keep our heads up and bounce back!

“Wherever we play our fans are nice and loud and sometimes they can be the 12th man”.

Que scenes of wild ecstasy as England, who had been criticized in the press before the match by Welsh players for a lack of passion, claimed a valuable win.

Williams’ message was that the campaign was far from over and that the players should not be despondent.

Speaking of the victory, captain Wayne Rooney said: “It was a great feeling to win the game like we did, it will nearly qualify us now and we have to win the game on Monday”.

“We were a bit rushed and the occasion got to us a little bit – that is the only criticism I can make of our team”.
