Euro 2016 excitement building in Republic of Ireland camp, says Everton’s…
Ireland manager Martin O’Neill revealed the news after this afternoon’s session but said that the Dubliner has improved since the injury happened.

“I will attempt for the rest of my time here not to make such inappropriate comments”.
“Any pieces of criticism coming their way from either myself, or from Roy, I think the players take it on board if they feel it’s appropriate, if it is appropriate, or dismiss it accordingly”, O’Neill told reporters in Dublin.
Brady, who can also operate at left-back, is an important member of O’Neill’s side and the manager is hopeful he can shake off the issue soon and avoid missing the match in Saint-Denis in a week’s time.
There was some good news from the camp with midfielder James McCarthy returning to train again with the full squad.
“It’s hamstring, groin – it’s a bit of both, to be honest – but as I say, I am back training and delighted to be back with the squad”.
“Roy has already a word with him”, said O’Neill when specifically asked about Keane’s comments about Aiden McGeady needing to do a lot better.
With Belgium and Italy to follow, Ireland are targeting Sweden too and O’Neill said: “It’s the first game up for us, so absolutely. It was a godsend to have that game because some of the players hasn’t played much football and needed it”.
“He didn’t participate in training today and probably won’t tomorrow either, and we’ll see what he’s like when he gets to France”.
He spoke about Roy Keane’s strong criticism of Ireland’s performance against Belarus in Cork and about his own words in the city which raised some comment after he used the term “queers” in a misguided attempt of humour.

However, Jon Walters and Robbie Brady did not partake in the main training.
