Euro 2016: Nobody is scared of England, says legend Alan Shearer
However, Todd reckons Roy Hodgson’s men still have a good chance of making it through to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

England were forced to settle for a runners’ up spot in their group at Euro 2016 on Monday night after they were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Slovakia.
Playing in its first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup, Wales defied expectations to win Group B ahead of England and sent Russian Federation home with an impressive counterattacking display that rested on more than just the talents of Bale.
Hungary, who now top the group, could be tricky opponents, having surpassed expectations so far, beating a fancied Austria side and drawing with Iceland in a match they largely dominated.
Spain are now the 3/1 favourites to win the tournament ahead of hosts France at 4/1.
The Liverpool captain said England, who won one and drew two of their group games to finish second, needed to find a more ruthless cutting edge.
Hodgson said he is hoping England gains the “opportunity to show we’re quite a good counterattacking team if other teams come out to play”. I can’t fault the effort and work of the players.
“I know they had chances but they could not convert any of them”.
Meanwhile, Wales have never been in a penalty shoot-out, but if they require one at Euro 2016 they will be ready.
“If we had got an early goal, it could have been very different – but we didn’t”. “I don’t think France will be playing in the same way as Russia, Wales and Slovakia played against us”. I’m just glad me and the staff are here with them.
“Created chances. Dele Alli off the line, Rooney chance near the end, Lallana same thing, he’s had two or three in each game”.
Todd, though, did not necessarily agree with those who felt the decision backfired.
Bale, scored his side’s third goal against Russian Federation and also netted in the 2-1 win over Slovakia and 2-1 defeat to England.
“I think it’s an environment that he really enjoys and we all get on really well together”.
“We’re not doomed yet”, Hodgson said.
“Hopefully when we come up against teams in the next stages, they will hopefully come out some more and give us more space”.
“I definitely feel like we are going to give someone a real beating soon”.

“We had the disappointment of the late goal against England but we made sure that it didn’t affect us and you could see how resilient the boys are”.
