Yibada reports that PlayStation Plus subscription price is expected to go up from £11.99 to £14.99.
Sony hasn’t revealed what the new price will be yet, but they have said that will affect one month and three month subscriptions only.
The service also offers users regular discounts on new releases but other elements of it have drawn plenty of criticism, particularly the poor stability of its servers and small 1GB of cloud storage. PlayStation promises that this PlayStation Plus fee increase will be well justified and will only bring about better features for the PlayStation 4.
PlayStation Plus subscribers in Europe and the UK will start paying extra come September 1.
The PlayStation Plus subscription fee increase has only been confirmed in Europe as of writing.
Subscribers of PlayStation Plus have been airing their gripes against the lack of Triple-A game titles in the Instant Game Collection that Sony has been releasing month in and month out.
PlayStation 4 continues to be on the top of its game with Xbox One struggling to keep up with PlayStation 4 sales.
PlayStation fans are now demanding more from Sony and the company should meet these demands if it wants to maintain their subscription to the PlayStation Plus.
