‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Broke Box Office Records Last Night
While spoilers will not be given out, the film was full of surprises while paying homage to both trilogies that came before it. Greenfield said the success of “Force Awakens” would not be enough to offset the impact of subscriber losses at ESPN.
Describing the talks with Ahmet Davutoglu and nine other European Union leaders ahead of a broader summit of the bloc as positive, Merkel also said discussions would continue on a resettlement scheme under which European Union countries could choose to take on fixed numbers of Syrian refugees from Turkey.
House Approves .1 Trillion Spending Bill
The deal marks a major achievement for new Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who delivered 150 Republican votes for the spending bill. Under a plan worked out in bipartisan negotiations, the legislation would be combined and voted on in the Senate the same day.
A report to be delivered to the summit says a €3bn ($NZD4.8bn) deal with Turkey has had little success reducing the flow of refugees and migrants to Greece.

Germany, the top destination for the migrants as Europe’s most dynamic economy, has led the calls for Europeans to admit people in distress and share the burden more evenly.
While European Council president Donald Tusk said he welcomed “with great satisfaction” the commission’s proposal, he said the more controversial elements – including when a deployment could be triggered – still had to be worked out.
“The challenge now is to see how to do this whilst fully respecting each country’s sovereignty over its external borders”.
Another outcome of today’s meeting was that leaders agreed to quickly review the proposals unveiled two days ago by the European Commission, the bloc’s executive arm, to establish a new border and coast guard body which enables Brussels to swiftly response to its border protection.
However, a text of the conclusions following the decision by all member states to sign up to the new border control and coast guard system, said that countries pledged to “deal as soon as possible with weaknesses at the external borders of the Schengen area, ensuring systematic security checks with updated databases and to prevent the falsification of documents”. In this connection it has been chose to urgently consider the proposal on the establishment of the border guard agency, he said. “Europe can not remain vulnerable when Schengen states are not able to effectively protect their borders”, Tusk stated.
According to the BBC however, efforts to relocate 160,000 refugees already in Europe are moving extremely slowly with only around 200 actually being transferred from one country to another so far.

Leaders also agreed to quickly find a promised 3 billion euros ($3.2 billion) in aid for Turkey, a non-EU member that has taken in more than 2 million refugees from Syria and Iraq. The influx has overwhelmed national border guards and reception capacities, notably in Greece, where some 770,000 migrants have arrived, majority from Turkey.
